We are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 for the data described here.
What we collect
- Electricity bills you send us (PDF or photo)
- Your name, phone, email and firm name
- Website visit data through Google Analytics cookies
- When you upload bills: a one-way code made from your IP address, kept up to 30 days, only to stop spam uploads
Please do not send bank details, Aadhaar or PAN.
Why we use it
- To prepare your bill check report
- To reply to your enquiry and to call or message you about the report and our products
- To train and improve our models and tools. Before we use a bill for this, we remove the consumer name, address, consumer number, meter number and your contact details.
We do not sell your data and do not share your bills with your DISCOM or anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Who processes it for us
AI services (such as Anthropic, USA) to read bills, under business terms that do not let them train their models on your bills. Also WhatsApp, Google (email and analytics) and Cloudflare (website). Some of these are outside India.
How long we keep it
- Bills and contact details: 6 months after your report, then deleted. If you become our customer, for as long as the contract runs.
- Bill figures with identifying details removed: may be kept for model training.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@konduktor.in. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Bills are kept on encrypted computers, seen only by our staff, and deleted from WhatsApp and email after we save them. If a breach affects you, we will tell you without delay.
